Established in 2009 by Sharon Johnson, Sapphire Dog Training's aim is to promote responsible dog ownership and to gain a happy relationship between handler and dog. We train using positive reinforcement in a friendly and relaxed environment.

 

Our resident Trainer Sharon started training dogs at the age of 15 when she was bought a German Shepard, by her parents. From here she joined a local club and soon started assisting with training, being taught how to train owners & their dogs. She has over 25 years of experience working in different training schools with a range of different breeds. Sharon regularly researches the latest methods of positive reinforcement training, in addition to this she is also a Kennel Club registered breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs.

 

Our school is named in memory of Sharon's wonderful dog Sapphire, more affectionately known as Saffi, who you see pictured on  the front of our homepage. Sapphire Dog Training is a non profit organisation, all funds received for attending classes are to cover our costs & provide vital equipment for our school.
